About the Role:

BearHand Construction is seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual to join our team in a Sales/Estimator position. This role blends client-facing sales with precise and comprehensive estimation. You’ll work closely with owners, designers, project managers, and trade partners to develop accurate proposals, secure new business, and help clients bring their visions to life.

Core Requirements:

Candidate needs to be detail oriented with exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills. Strong background in residential remodeling with a deep understanding of ICC codes, construction methods & materials, job costing, and compassionate sales. 5+ years of experience required in a job costing/estimation and sales role. 10+ years within the construction industry is a must.

Additional Skills & Experience Desired (not required):

  • Military Service / Postsecondary Education / TVET

  • Xactimate estimation software experience

  • Experience in residential and/or commercial production roles such as carpenter, lead, foreman, supervisor, project manager

  • Disaster Restoration industry experience

  • Chief Architect or other CAD/Design software experience

  • Kitchen & Bath design experience / 2020 design software

  • Massachusetts CSL (We do not operate in MA)

What You’ll Do:

  • Generate leads through community engagement, networking, trade shows, social networking, chase (disaster restoration), assisting marketing team

  • Qualify leads, follow up, and move opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Engage with potential homeowners to understand lifestyle, goals, scope, budget, and timeline

  • Build rapport with all clients through empathy, transparency, honesty, and integrity

  • Conduct on-site assessments, measure existing spaces, establish site-conditions, and photo documentation

  • Develop highly detailed, line-item driven project estimates (materials, labor, subcontractors, permits, contingencies)

  • Prepare compelling proposals and lead client presentations.

  • Maintain commitment through exploration of the possibilities, problem solving and value engineering options

  • Liaise with designer, procurement and project management to ensure accurate budgets and scheduling

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, materials, labor, building code, and market trends

  • Create and maintain client-facing documents, contracts, change orders, and RFP responses

  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $100,000 – $180,000+ annual, salary and commission

  • Salary based on experience, commission based on performance metrics

  • Company branded vehicle, paid fuel, EZPass

  • Up to 2 weeks paid vacation based on tenure

  • 6 Paid Holidays

  • Project radius of 1 hour of Deering, NH
